- If Starting Your Australian Cricket Tour To India 2023 In Nagpur, Your First Night Is Feb 06, And Your Last Night Is Feb 13
Nagpur was the third city in India we watched cricket when Australia played Zimbabwe in Cricket World Cup 1996, at the old Vidarbha Cricket Assocation Stadium in the city centre.
Though aged, it was convenient and enjoyable for what it was. Nagpur doesn't get too many international visitors so being embraced as we were added a significant pleasure to the game in the geographic dead-centre of India, that doesn't offer many time-fillers.
When we played in 2004, Australia defeated India and for the first time in 38 years we won a test series in India, adding more special memories in India's 13th largest city. We have to get something from the city that is largely befert of things to do, but we always find something.
When you arrive into India, you need a connection to Nagpur to arrive three nights before the test. This will give you two full days to decompress before the cricket and get yourself settled for what we hope will be five great weeks with us.
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel at the end of airport drive, 9km from the game. We will drive you to and from the game at the stadium in Jamtha, and enjoy many a rooftop soiree at our hotel, which used to be the player's hotel. They have moved to bigger and better places, blocked by the BCCI leaving us with former glory.
We have two drinks parties, cool apparel, shaded seats, and an experience of Nagpur that will not leave you wondering what to do. Importantly we have a return flight to New Delhi for the 2nd Test, arriving too, 3 nights before the game. We have always enjoyed Nagpur and look forward to welcoming you to the opening salvo of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, the game's 99th Test Cricket Ground.
Please note: We no longer offer twin-share for people travelling solo. You must book a single room, or travel to India with a friend, family, or foe to share your room
