Tour games are civilised especially on an Australian Cricket Tour To India. Laid back and welcoming, the tour game at Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi was the finest example of 'tour gaming' in India. Not only did we avoid all security checks and entered the game without match tickets, but we made it into the pavilion and took our seats looking straight down the wicket. Brilliant. We were in shade, it was spacious and the Members appreciative of our visit.

One fellow asked if we were the group he saw in Mumbai 'Waving The Flag' and when responding 'Yes', it was not five minutes before the waiter arrived to collect our morning coffee order, and who later arrived with a tray of caffeine and cookies. We were not dressed as swankily as the Cricket New Delhi Members, but no one cared so long as the waiter delivered as requested each day, 'black coffee, no sugar'; one of the hardest coffees to make in India (in 2001)!
