Indian Railways Rajasthan Tour 2022 - Itinerary

When planning Australian Cricket Tours to India we try to add varied side-trips to our itineraries that are always influenced by where and when we play cricket. There has not been a tour where we've not wanted to tour Royal Rajasthan, we have simply not had 'enough time'.

Most Australian Cricket Tours to India have a 5-day break between the 2nd and 3rd Tests, but it's not always 'convenient' to reach Rajasthan in that time.

Two weeks in the magnificence and history across the vast deserts of India's largest state is not enough time. So, when left with only 5 days including travel between Test Matches, it is no surprise the resultant glimpse of Rajasthan does not justify the effort.

Over the years we have spent much time visiting Rajasthan's signature 'Triple J' cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer but have never included these in our cricket tours, until now.

In 2022, Australia plays Afghanistan in the 2nd week of Sept, leaving 2 weeks to invest before our Australian Cricket Tour of India starts Sept 28.

Rather than go home and return, we have a relaxed itinerary on Indian Railways through Rajasthan immersing in the immense palaces, forts, heritage, architecture, colour and culture.

**Our itinerary starts in New Delhi after our  Australia Vs Afghanistan 119 Dehradun Tour, and ends in Chandigarh before our 'presumptive' 3-Day Tour Game, Australia XI Vs India XI at Punjab Cricket Assc. Stadium, Sept 29 - Oct 1, 2022 (TBC).**

We arrive in New Delhi on Sept 15 from Dehradun. If you are joining this epic Indian Railways journey and arrive on Sept 15, an extra night will be payable. Otherwise, check-in on Sept 16.
