With the love of food, exploring the markets of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka as we follow cricket around the world, is never a bore. One of our favourite markets are those of Pettah in Colombo, Sri Lanka, ever since our first visit in 1999. The ever-changing colour, hype, and presentation is overwhelming, such as this fruit display. You didn't want to buy anything for fear of spoiling the art but they've been doing this for years and the slick routine of removing one piece and putting one back without disturbing a fruit-fly was impressive. Opposite Fort Railway Station they are easy to reach with every bus in the land passing by day and night.
