AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TOURS HOTEL IN HARARE

AUSTRALIAN CRICKET TOUR TO ZIMBABWE 2026
Following our first tour to Zimbabwe in 1999, Harare Sports Club was our favourite Test Cricket Ground and for a long time thereafter.
Its cool African approach to spectating, the magnificent outfield, two pubs on the boundary rope, and one of the few grounds where you could once walk a lap without losing sight of the ball, made it an unique place to enjoy cricket.

Travelling to Harare in October 2025 (part of our preparation for the Australian Cricket Tour to South Africa 2026,) fantastic coincidence saw Zimbabwe hosting Afghanistan in 3 T20's at Harare Sports Club (above).
Watching from the shaded member's balcony above Centurion Pub & Grill, looking over the lush outfield, and with in-seat drinks and food service, made us ever-so keen to return to Zimbabwe for cricket.

With the new 'Future Tours Program', dictating where Australia will play cricket in the five years from June 2027, due for release, I felt in my waters that Australia will be scheduled to return to Zim for cricket, very soon.
That feeling has been vindicated.

Alas, Zim Cricket wanted a Test Match, but Cricket Australia talked them down to 3 pointless ODI's, before the South Africa test series. It is better than nothing, and good that we know the right people as we have 'memberships' and ticketed entry into the two pubs, already sorted.

It will make this 'white-ball series' all the better because Zimbos will be in numbers for this marquee series.
Australia last toured Zim in 2018 for a white-ball, whereas 2004 was our last 'attempt' at Test Cricket; the series cancelled the day before the start.

As you are booking your own hotel, again we suggest you stay at awesome Bronte Garden Hotel, which is barely 10mins walk to Harare Sports Club, and which backs onto pristine Royal Harare Golf Club.

I was only in Zim for 5 nights last October but the comfort and enjoyment felt was overwhelming. I wished Australia to play in Zim 'soon', and I got my wish.
There is much to see, awesome places to go each night, two ripping golf courses, and Borrowdale Markets are the best you'll find anywhere.

Join us in Zimbabwe, and be one of the rare souls to have watched Australia play cricket in this incredible country, which Forbes Travel Guide (gold standard in global travel reviews), named as the 'Number 1 travel destination of 2025'.

GETTING TO/FROM ZIMBABWE
You are responsible for flights to and from Harare (HRE). Qantas from Sydney (SYD) lands in Johannesburg (JNB) most days at 1625pm, with a connecting flight on Airlink (Qantas partner) to HRE at 1845pm.
If you book SYD - HRE on one ticket, your bags will be checked through to HRE and you won't need to clear South Africa immigration. You'll get your precious status credits and points if your Airlink flight is booked with a Qantas flight number. Book your onward flight from HRE on your preferred date.
