The architecture of Long Street, style of Stellenbosch, history of Robben Island, views from Table Mountain and Cape Point, and Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a vibrant scent of South African society, the ‘Mother City’ is captivating.

Newlands Cricket Stadium too is somewhat idyllic for five grand days of test cricket, which is the reason you are here.

Many will join our Australian Cricket Tour to South Africa 2026 solely for spectacular Newlands, but trust you will look further afield to stay longer, either before or after. We could have three test matches in Cape Town and not cover everything, so we'll do our best to cram what we can into the time we have.

When you land at Cape Town International Airport we will meet & greet and transfer you safely to our 4 star hotel, which is not yet confirmed (we will update once known!), for 8 nights including daily breakfast.

We may have 9 nights to include one night after the Test. It depends on where & when we go after Cape Town.

Our Cape Town tour is timed for you to arrive 3 nights before the test so you can spend the next day recovering from your journey or jump straight into this amazing place. You have two full days to invest before the test match.

We will have an included experience (TBC) on both days, which culminate in our pre-test function by the pool or on the rooftop of our hotel. This is where you collect your match tickets, cool shirts, and learn how we are getting to & from Newlands the next day, which may be suburban MetroRail if we don't transfer you.

It will depend on the hotel we choose.

We have taken the Metro a safe and swift 7 stop journey to Newlands since our first visit in 1997 and know this to be the most convenient, cheapest (A$0.90c) and fastest option. You can always take an Uber if you prefer.

Newlands is one of the world's Test Cricket Grounds where you are happy for a five day test, such is the pleasure of going there. Whether you sit on the grass, under the oaks, or enjoy full South African hospitality, you don't tire coming here.

Conversely, Cape Town is one city where you hope the game ends in three days. With much to see and do five days at the game is a waste of 'some' time. We will see how the game pans out to add more adventures into the schedule before shuffling off to another exciting place.
