Cape Town is one the 'World's Most Beautiful Cities'. This is subjective but you will find it difficult not to love it. Whether from afar or from the street, Cape Town is breathtaking.
The architecture of Long Street, style of Stellenbosch, history of Robben Island, views from Table Mountain and Cape Point, and Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for a vibrant scent of South African society, along with their edgy food scene, the ‘Mother City’ is captivating.

Newlands Cricket Stadium too is somewhat idyllic for five grand days of test cricket, which is the reason you are here.
Many will join our Australian Cricket Tour to South Africa 2026 solely for spectacular Newlands, but trust you will look to stay longer, either before or after. We could have three test matches in Cape Town and not cover everything, so we'll do our best to cram what we can into the time we have.
When you land at Cape Town International Airport we will meet, greet and transfer you safely to our city centre 5 star hotel for 9 glorious nights, including four before the test.

Our Cape Town tour is timed for you to spend one day recovering from your journey, if you need to, leaving two full days to explore. Otherwise, jump straight into this amazing place to invest your three full days before the Test.

Over the years, many just 'hang out' at the famed Waterfront (above), which is not bad, but there is far more to Cape Town than that, such as Camps Bay (below).
A quick Uber ride over the hill, and you can while away the days on the crisp white sand, whilst enjoying stunning views of Table Mountain, Lion Head, and Twelve Apostles.
And don't worry about taking a picnic basket, as the length of Victoria Road that is Camps Bay Beach, is lined with bars, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets to keep you well fueled.
If you prefer a more active approach to Cape Town, we recommend the affordable City Sightseeing 'Hop-On Hop-Off' Bus. One ticket includes the Aerial Cableway so you can get up and down the mountain and continue your sightseeing of Cape Town, which must include the spectacularly colourful neighbourhood of 'Bo Kaap' below.

Because of fickle weather, we haven't included the Aerial Cableway. The weather can turn severe at any time, which can close the Cableway. If that happens, our included adventure is postponed and we may not have another chance to go.
So, when the weather allows, go put your feet up for a few hours one afternoon. Table Mountain is easily reached by Uber, if you don't want a healthy 60mins walk (to the Cableway!).

The sames goes for wineries, which not everyone wants to do. We prefer Franschhoek over Stellenbosch because of their ace wine tram, but the end result after either on a beautiful day is the same. We will detail options once you have booked to join us in Cape Town.

If you want to go to the infamous Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, where the two oceans do not meet, or Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated, these can be booked closer the time, but we will help you well before then so you don't miss out.

And just like that. 3 days have gone and we will be indulging at the hotel at our pre-test party where you collect your match tickets and learn how we are getting to & from beautiful Newlands the next day.

We have taken the Metro to & from Newlands since our first visit in 1997, however our experience in Nov 2025 with long ticket queues and service cancellations in both directions pushed us to drive you to & from Newlands in October.

Newlands is one of the world's great Test Cricket Grounds where you are happy for a five day test, such is the pleasure of going there. Whether you sit on the grass, under the oaks, or enjoy the view from our hospitality suite (above), you don't tire coming here. There are ticket choices for you, all of which are great.

Our hotel tour includes reserved seat match tickets as standard, but you can upgrade to a Hospitality Suite (Corporate Box) if you wish.

Cape Town is one city where you are also pleased the game ends in three days. With much to see and do, five days at the game is a waste of 'some' time. We will see how the game pans out to add more adventures before shuffling off to another exciting place.
