Bengaluru is one of India’s most dynamic cities with a hubbub of activity day and night along Brigade Road, Church St, and MG Road. A pitcher of pubs, restaurants, cafes, takeaway joints, bars, clubs, malls, and hawkers selling anything from maps to movies.

As much as we love watching test cricket in exciting Bengaluru OUR last foray at mighty Chinnaswamy Stadium was in 2008. Australia played in 2010 but I don't know why we didn't host a tour! In 2008 we lived at a comfy 3-star hotel only 10mins walk from Chinnaswamy on quiet Church St, parallel to MG Road. Since then, the number of hotels in the area has more than doubled, but the price hasn't so the choice of well-priced 4 or 5-star hotels are still within easy walking distance of the ground.

If you don't fancy an early stroll (matches start at 9.30am!), Namma Metro Cubbon Park Station is adjacent to Chinnaswamy, only 2-stops from our hotel. Otherwise, auto-rickshaws and ride-apps get you swiftly to the ground where we sit shaded all day! The many short-travel options are why we don't include match-day transfers; it is easier to make your own way, safely, at your convenience.

We also do not include any sightseeing day-trips. Like all big Indian cities, there is much to see that suits a broad spectrum of interests. As such, we leave you to decide what you'd like to do once the Test is over. If the Test ends in 3 or 4 days, we may organise a 'group day trip' which will be optional, and payable at the time.

One standard inclusion in our Australian Cricket Tour to Bengaluru is the transfer from Kempegowda International Airport; 40km north of the city. No matter what time you arrive you will be collected and safely delivered to our cool hotel for 8 nights in one of India’s less chaotic cities that can make time away from the game a lot more enjoyable.
