**We Have SOLD OUT**

An 'Australia Test Cricket Tour Of Pakistan' has been long-awaited. We've not played in this stunning country since 1998, though we've tried often. 2002 was played in Sri Lanka and Sharjah. 2006 was deferred to 2008, then eventually played in England in 2010. 2014 and 2018 were played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

We have had some amazing times in every place we have seen Australia win and lose against Pakistan but it was always 'not quite right'. We want to play 'IN' Pakistan and March 2022 will be our best chance for a long time. It could even be our last chance too, thus the desire to tour Pakistan 2022 has never been stronger.

It has been a few years since we were in Pakistan and therefore imperative to reacquaint ourselves with this stunning cricket world before we welcome you. We wouldn't be comfortable asking you to join us on tour anywhere that we were unfamiliar with. We'll visit Pakistan in January to learn, understand, and confirm everything we need to ensure your comfort, enjoyment, and importantly safety.

After the 3rd Test in Lahore, we've an amazing Hunza Valley Tour hosted by our good friend 'Lala', of Apricot Tours, however recent price hikes makes this trip unreachable for many. As such, we have an 8 night Tour to enjoy the 3 ODI's in Rawalpindi instead.

Our Australian Cricket Tour of Pakistan 2022 itinerary follows the schedule announced last February 4, 2022. We are ready to go and focussed on creating the best possible tour for you with what we know, now!

Australian Test Cricket Tour Of Pakistan 2022

Welcome To Rawalpindi

Known for its handicrafts and carpets, 'Pindi' is the place to go for unique shopping if you can't make it to Peshawar. The buzz of Raja, Kashmiri, Saddar, Sarafa, and Moti Bazaars, the throng of Adam Jee Rd, and meelee of the railway station is where we have always gravitated to in this low-key city at the base of the Margalla Hills, home to Murree, the name-sake town of Pakistan's Murree Brewery.

In 1998 you could have Murree Lager or Murree Whisky. Now you have 12 beers, 12 whiskies, 9 gins, 8 vodkas, 2 rums and 1 brandy to whet your cricket whistle! If the 2nd Test at Pindi Cricket Ground 2022 is anything like Australia Vs Pakistan 1998, you'll do lots of whistling.

Chasing Pakistan's 1st inning of 269, Man-of-the-Match Steve Waugh joined Michael Slater to put on 199 for the 4th wicket. Both scored centuries along with Darren Lehmann 98 and Ian Healy 82 to help Australia to 513 and an innings and 99 runs win. A few Murrees were enjoyed at the Australia High Commission's 'Coolabah Club' that night.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi share Islamabad Intl. Airport, which is equal distance from these vastly opposing twin-cities. Islamabad a spacious, well-planned, purpose-built capital, Pindi a congested, frenetic mess, but home to Murree Brewery!

Welcome To Karachi

Karachi is Pakistan's financial and industrial centre generating 20% of Pakistan's GDP, 1/3 of Pakistan's tax revenue, and 95% of Pakistan's foreign trade. It is home to Pakistan's busiest airport, and is Pakistan's most liberal, cosmopolitan, and indeed safest city.

Once the 6th most dangerous city for crime (2014), a giant lathi stick saw Karachi drop to 115th in 7 years. This has allowed the fashion, cafe & cuisine culture of Boat Basin and Zamzama to bloom for Pakistan's blue jeans & white t-shirt wearing starlets to sip triple espressos and dissect vegan muffins.

Karachi is a ripping city to experience socially, whilst not ignoring the centuries of cultural wonder away from the famed National Stadium where some of Pakistan's finest cricketers cut their teeth, whilst cutting the ball.

Australia Vs Pakistan 1998 saw Michael Slater skip down the wicket to smash the ball to Peshawar to bring up his century. Alas, he missed and was stumped for 96. He was so far down, he was halfway to the shower by the time the bails came off!

We have a grand 8-night tour of this giant city, with 2-nights before the 1st ball to allow you to relax by the pool and casually catch signature sights to begin your epic 5 week adventure.

Welcome To Peshawar

**We are no longer hosting a tour to Peshawar as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province is on Australia's 'DO NOT TRAVEL list. Travel to any country or region on this list will void your travel insurance**

**If you booked to join us at 3-Tests and Peshawar, the cost of your tour and inclusions have been absorbed into additional nights in Karachi and Rawalpindi**

The capital of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Peshawar is one the Pakistan's 'must see' cities. This 'little gem' has a wealth of attraction, vibrancy, and labyrinth of bazaars.

Peshawar has been the first and last stop over the centuries for the caravans of commerce that travel through the famed Khyber Pass and Silk Road that ran between Istanbul and Kashgar, which created the bazaars we still have today. The maze through the old city is reason enough to visit Peshawar, near the border with Afghanistan.

Browse the gold bazaar, then the onion bazaar, and then the gem bazaar, and the bucket bazaar, before continuing through the dental bazaar, tea bazaar, broom bazaar, cotton bazaar, silver bazaar, spice bazaar, meat bazaar, fish bazaar, carpet bazaar, and bizarre bazaar. If you want it, you'll get in Peshawar, including cricket world records for that matter.

It's impossible to forget the incredible Australia Vs Pakistan 2nd Test, 1998. Mark Taylor's Sir Donald Bradman equalling 334* is now so long ago it's seemingly just a myth of folklore and hearsay. We aren't playing at Arbab Niaz Stadium this time, and disappointingly we won't travel to Peshawar as we wanted to see this hallowed ground.

Perhaps Pakistan 2026 will give you the chance to travel the Khyber Pass and visit the Old City bazaars.

      Welcome To Lahore

Though Peshawar is a 'must see' Pakistan city (when you are allowed to visit), it doesn't top Lahore, the 1000 year old capital of Punjab. This legacy of the Mughal Empire is Pakistan's cultural, intellectual, academic, & artistic centre, around which are stunning palaces, gardens, forts, monuments, and tombs. The historical and architectural attraction is why we arrive 3 nights before the 3rd Test at Gaddafi Stadium.

As we leave the day after the Test for the 8-nights in the Hunza Valleywe have created enough time before the Test to tick the box of everything you should see in this grand city, especially Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque in the walled old city.

A day in the old city will tire you for a relaxed night on Old Anarkali Food Street. If you want to indulge in classic Pakistani feasts and flavours, head to this lively and brightly street, just 2km from our hotel.

Open from 10am, on your way to lunch in Food Street you pass the impressive High Court and GPO, legacies of British occupation. After lunch, Lahore Museum is just around the corner for another cultural fix. 2.5 days is enough to cover everything, though we are here first and foremost for the game at the bastion of Pakistan Cricket.

Australia doesn't have fond memories of Gaddafi Stadium, losing to Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup 1996 final, but we hope to leave Pakistan after the 3rd Test with our first series win in 24years, and 2nd consecutive, in this mightily beautiful land.
